PRESCRIPTION EYEWEAR GUIDE

Finding Your PD Measurement

Your PD measures the distance between the centers of your pupils. This measurement is crucial because it determines the exact spot where you'll be looking through your lens. While we take this measurement during your eye exam, you can also measure it at home

01

Set up for measuring

Position yourself in front of a mirror (approximately 8 inches away). Hold a ruler horizontally at eyebrow level. Make sure to use millimeters for accuracy.

02

Focus on your left eye

Close your right eye and align the ruler's starting point (0mm) directly over the center of your left pupil.

03

Focus on your right eye

Close your left eye and note the measurement that aligns with the center of your right pupil. This gives you your total pupillary distance. Divide this number in half to get the measurement you'll enter in the prescription field.
